Ok, so one day I was cleaning my apartment and I came across my very frist sketch book! My Grandmother had given it to me and I remember being confused because there was no lines on the paper. I was probably 9 years old and in the fifth grade. Well, when I opened it I couldn't believe my eyes. The whole thing was filled with drawings of punkrock girls with guitars, cheerleaders and valley girls...JUST LIKE BATHROOM GIRLS! My head almost exploded. It makes no sense. I was a little puerto rican girl raised in Queens and East Harlem in the projects, surrounded by ethnic music, Motown, and emerging hip-hop. I did not have a TV or a stereo. I had never heard of Blondie, Joan Jett or anything even remotely punk rock so I am not exactly sure how this happened but fuck it. Maybe I am the reincarnation of Nancy Spungen. Trust me. These drawings are hilarious! Enjoy!
