Back in the good old days St. Mark's Comics was at the top of the stairs of 11 St. Mark's Place. The new comics were in a shop on one side of the landing and the old comics were in a shop on the other side of the landing. Here I am on the old-comics side probably on new comics day. I was usually sent over there when anything important was going on in the other shop. All of the men who worked there were managers. I was just a slob girl with no responsibility even though I only missed two days of work in the three years I was there! I was NEVER late! AND knew a good amount about comic books because I had been reading them since I was small. There was something wrong with my life and my self esteem to put up with such blatant disrespect but I was too dumb and too young to know better and too retarded to expect more from life!
